Our 14-day itinerary has been carefully designed so that you have time for sightseeing in Kathmandu and acclimatization before gaining further elevation during the trek. If you wish to make any changes in this itinerary then please let us know and we can customize it for you.
Day 1: Arrival
On arrival, you will be welcomed by a staff member at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. A 45 minutes drive, depending on traffic, will bring you to your accommodation in Kathmandu. Rest and relax for the rest of the day while enjoying your first local food.
The B&Bs and hotels that we chose for our guests are located in safe and peaceful areas with supermarkets and restaurants within walking distance.

Day 2: Orientation and Kathmandu cultural tour
Enjoy your complimentary breakfast in the morning and meet your adventure tour guide. He will walk you through trek preparations including understanding the culture, gear lists and show you the trekking route on a map. Afterward, you will get to explore Kathmandu City and its cultural heritage.

Day 3: Drive to Dhunche (2022 m / 6634 ft) and trek to Deurali (2400 m / 7874 ft)
Our journey starts with a long and bumpy drive on the mountain road, making our way to Dunche. After lunch in Dunche, we trek to Deurali. It is short, steep and a good warm-up start. This is a perfect place to stretch out and to spend the night after the long drive.

Day 4: Trek to Cholongpati (3600 m / 11811 ft)
Today our hike starts with a steep uphill section that will last 3 hours. You will stop for a lunch at Sing Gompa and refill your water bottles before we get back on the trail again for the second half of the day. In the evening, you will sit around the fire with hot tea to join other trekkers and locals to hear their stories.

Day 5: Trek to Gosainkunda (4380 m / 14207 ft)
You will be hiking on a gradual uphill section at the beginning of the hike today. We will have a short tea break in Laurebina while enjoying spectacular mountain views. Once you reach the top of this climb, you will start walking on the narrow path going ups and downs all the way to Gosainkunda. You will be gaining some altitude at this point and you will probably start feeling it, but don't worry, your guide will be making sure that you are feeling well and drinking enough water. Staying positive and following your guide is the best way to do it. As we get closure to reaching our destination, be ready to amaze by the view of beautiful lakes and the surrounding mountains.

Day 6: Summiting the Surya peak (5145 m /16879 ft)
The next day, we will leave early in the morning at 4 am to summit the top of Surya peak. To reach the summit it will take 3-4 hours and the same for coming back down again. From the top, you will be able to spot even the Mt. Everest at the distance, if the weather is clear. We will enjoy the moment for a while, drink some water, grab a snack bar and make our way back to the tea house in Gosainkunda for the night.

Day 7: Trek to Ghopte (3530 m / 11581 ft)
Once you finish our breakfast, you will slowly pack and be ready to leave. You will be hiking through an uphill section at the beginning for 2 hours to reach the Laurebina Pass, which lies at 4636 meters. You will be able to enjoy the panoramic view from this pass. You will be on a downhill section now onwards for 3 hours to Phedi for lunch and Kathmandu another 2 hours to Ghopte. You will be spending the night at this cozy teahouse that's surrounded by high peaks.

Day 8: Trek to Mangengoth (3340 m / 10958 ft)
After breakfast, we will slowly make our way to Mangengoth. It is a tiny little village with only two houses and naturally very beautiful. We will be walking for 3 hours to Thadepati where we will stop for the tea and from there another 2 hours to Mangengoth. There are some steep downhill trails today to be careful of. But, don't worry. Your guide will be making sure that you are doing it right!

Day 9: Trek to Chipling (2190 m / 7185 ft)
Chipling is a small Tamang community village. It lies right on the ridge of the hill which makes this place very exciting and full of awesome sceneries. In the morning you can enjoy the sunrise and in the evening a beautiful sunset on the other side. A great place to spend the night.

Accommodation: teahouse in Kutumsang
Day 10: Trek to Chisapani (2222 m / 7215 ft) and trek to Kathmandu
The hike today is a mix of uphill, downhill and lots of flat sections as well. In the morning, we will be hiking down and up to Chipling village for lunch. After the tasty Dalbhat, we will make our way towards Chisapani walking 3-4 hours. Chisapani means cold water in Nepali. The village itself is green and fresh! It's sitting on the top of the hill overlooking more than 10 mountain ranges in the north. In the evening, you can enjoy the sunset view and good food prepared by the locals.

Day 12: Trek to Sundarijal (1300 m / 4265 ft)
If you are early enough in the morning, you will be able to spot the Mt. Everest and the great Himalayan wall in the sunrise. After breakfast, we will make our way up to Deurali pass. At this point, you will slowly be able to see a glimpse of Kathmandu valley at the distance. From the pass, we will start to make our way down to Sundarijal. It's a place named after the local hydropower. Our private vehicle will be waiting for us there to drive us back to our hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 13: Debrief and day off
After breakfast, we will meet with you to talk about your travel experience. In order to improve our customer experiences, we would love to hear your feedback. For the rest of the day, you can rest and relax, go shopping, or participate in one of our day tours around Kathmandu.

Day 14: Departure
It’s time to say goodbye, or better - see you again! One of our staff members will drop you at the Tribhuwan International Airport 2-3 hours before your scheduled flight time, making sure that you have enough time to check in.
